No QB Controversy

The Eagles couldn't get anything going with Kevin Kolb in the game. They managed just 49 total yards in the first half. The half ended with the Eagles down 27-10.

Then Kolb got hurt.

Then Michael Vick came in. He looked comfortable, relaxed and confident. Vick completed 16 of 24 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown, and had 11 carries for another 103 yards. But Andy Reid already stated that Kolb will start against the Lions next week if he is healthy.

And that is why the Eagles will be lucky if they get to 8-8 this year. They are not committed to winning. Call it what you want, team building for the future, blah, blah, blah. The future is now. You put your best guys on the field each week against the other team's best guys. Vick is better than Kolb. Period. He has three Pro Bowl appearances. Can you build a team around Vick? Probably, but who cares? If Kolb is any good, he will continue to train hard and when the time comes to step-up and win, he will, or he won't. But until then you play your best team.
