NFL PICKS WEEK 5

I am 26-33-3 so far this season. John is also 26-33-3. Tony is 9-7.

This week's picks are:

1.) Baltimore Ravens (3-1) at home (-7) vs. Denver Broncos (2-2)
The Broncos stepped up big in Tennessee last week and defied expectations. The Ravens look very, very good, but the Broncos have a knack for keeping things close. PREDICTION: BRONCOS TO COVER

2.) Buffalo Bills (0-4) at home (-1.5) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2)
Until the Bills win a game, I'm not buying them as a favorite. PREDICTION: JAGS

3.) Indianapolis Colts (2-2) at home (-7.5) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (3-0)
The Chiefs are the last unbeaten team in the league. Can they stay with the Colts even in their off week? The Colts need this more. PREDICTION: COLTS

4.) Detroit Lions (0-4) at home (-3) vs. St Louis Rams (2-2)
This would've been a great game if Stafford had been healthy. Everyone is on the Lions, even at 0-4, but the Rams are playing solidly and have more in the tank. PREDICTION: RAMS

5.) Atlanta Falcons (3-1) (-3) at Cleveland Browns (1-3)
The Falcons are playing very well and under the radar. The Browns have covered all the way so far, but the Falcons are a much better team, playing at a much higher level. PREDICTION: FALCONS

6.) Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) at home (-6.5) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1)
Can the Bucs, off a bye week put up a fight? Not with their corners. PREDICTION: BENGALS

7.) Carolina Panthers (0-4) at home (2.5) vs. Chicago Bears (3-1)
Todd Collins or Jimmy Claussen? Can the Bears block? Can the Panthers stop Julius Peppers? PREDICTION: BEARS

8.) Green Bay Packers (3-1) (-2.5) at Washington Redskins (2-2)
Can the Packers get a running game? No. But I'm not sold on the Redskins. PREDICTION: PACKERS

9.) Houston Texans (3-1) at home (-3) vs. New York Giants (2-2)
The Giants on the road are a bird of a different feather. The Texans at home laid an egg against the Cowboys. PREDICTION: TEXANS

10.) New Orleans Saints (3-1) (-7) at Arizona Cardinals (2-2)
Max Hall gets his first start for the Cardinals. The Saints have no running game. The Cardinals play better at home, but a rookie QB is a lot against defending Super Bowl Champs even if they are 0-4 against the spread. PREDICTION: SAINTS

11.) San Diego Chargers (2-2) (-6.5) at Oakland Raiders (1-3)
This is a rivalry game and I don't like the points. This is my last shot with the Raiders. PREDICTION: RAIDERS TO COVER

12.) Dallas Cowboys (1-2) at home (-7) vs. Tennessee Titans (2-2)
Even with a bye week, seven points is way too much. PREDICTION: TITANS

13.) San Francisco 49ers (0-4) at home (-3.5) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (2-2)
Everyone is off the Eagles. Not me. Kevin Kolb knows how to run the west coast offense. PREDICTION: EAGLES

14.) New York Jets (3-1) at home (-4) vs. Minnesota Vikings (1-2)
Randy Moss won't make a difference in this game. The Jets are too good. PREDICTION: JETS
