NFL PICKS WEEK FOUR 2011

OK now. Last week was abysmal. I was 3-12-1 for 16-27-4 for the season. John was 6-9-1 and 21-22-4 for the season. I have some catching up to do but am confident of victory.

1.) Dallas Cowboys (2-1) at home (-2.5) vs. Detroit Lions (3-0)
The Cowboys are coming off a gutsy six field goal victory against the Redskins on Monday Night Football. They can't beat the Lions with field goals. These aren't Lions we used to know.
PREDICTION: LIONS

2.) New Orleans Saints (2-1) (-7.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2)
The Jags are too young and untalented
PREDICTION: SAINTS

3.) Philadelphia Eagles (1-2) at home (-9.5) vs. San Francisco 49ers (2-1)
Jim Harbaugh has the 49ers playing solid football, but they are travelling across country and the Eagles will have their act together. I mean Andy Reid can't fuck up the play calling two weeks in a row can he?
PREDICTION: EAGLES

4.) Washington Redskins (2-1) (-2.5) at St Louis Rams (0-3)
This is my upset of the week. Why? The Cowboys exposed Redskins. The Skins beat the Cardinals by just one the week before and the Rams have upset them the last two years.
PREDICTION: RAMS

5.) Tennessee Titans (2-1) (-1) at Cleveland Browns (2-1)
These two teams play nail biters. If Chris Johnson gets his mojo back then it's a no brainer. But there's no Kenny Britt and Cleveland stacks the box.
PREDICTION: BROWNS

6.) Buffalo Bills (3-0) (-3) at Cincinnati Bengals (1-2)
Marvin Lewis has their defense playing well and Andy Dalton-AJ Green looks like a daunting combination. But no Cedric Benson spells doom. Buffalo is a genuine surprise.
PREDICTION: BILLS

7.) Minnesota Vikings (0-3) (-3) at Kansas City Chiefs (0-3)
The Chiefs finally played respectable last week. Arrowhead is a difficult place to play too. Whoa to be a Vikings fan! They should be 3-0 and would be if Leslie Frazier remembered he has this guy named Adrian Peterson in the 2nd half too. This week it's A.P.'s revenge.
PREDICTION: VIKINGS

8.) Chicago Bears (1-2) at home (-6.5) vs. Carolina Panthers (1-2)
The Bears are an enigma to me. They have enough talent but glaring weaknesses. A good test for young QB Cam Newton. Until the Bears become consistent..........
PREDICTION: PANTHERS TO COVER

9.) Houston Texans (2-1) at home (-3.5) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1)
This is the most intriguing game of the week if not the season. If the Texans lose then I think they get labeled pretenders. If the Steelers lose they look to be on the slide as they are getting older.
PREDICTION: TEXANS

10.) Atlanta Falcons (1-2) (-4.5) at Seattle Seahawks (1-2)
The Seahawks scored a surprising home win against division rival Arizona last week. The Falcons lost at the end to the BUCS. The Falcons should be 0-3. They are travelling west and can't block and Michael Turner seems invisible.
PREDICTION: SEAHAWKS TO COVER

11.) New York Giants (2-1) (-1.5) at Arizona Cardinals (1-2)
The Giants are travelling west against a Cardinal team that can't seem to put points on the board. Big win for the Giants last week smells let down.
PREDICTION: CARDINALS

12.) San Diego Chargers (2-1) at home (-7) vs. Miami Dolphins (0-3)
The Chargers don't really blow anyone out do they? But the Dolphins lack talent and can't score points.
PREDICTION: CHARGERS

13.) Green Bay Packers (3-0) at home (-12) vs. Denver Broncos (1-2)
PREDICTION: PACKERS

14.) New England Patriots (2-1) (-6) at Oakland Raiders (2-1)
Dramatic loss for PATS and dramatic win for the Raiders. The Pats just don't lose back to back games. The Raiders can run as the JETS found out.
PREDICTION: RAIDERS TO COVER

15.) Baltimore Ravens (2-1) at home vs. New York Jets (2-1)
Four is too many.
PREDICTION: JETS TO COVER

16.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1) at home (-10) vs. Indianapolis Colts (0-3)
The real story here is that the BUCS are not blacked out. The Colts defense put up a valiant effort last week and Curtis Painter gets his first start at QB this week. The Bucs never really blow anyone out either, but the glare of the national spotlight will spur them onward.
PREDICTION: BUCS
