NFL PICKS WEEK SEVEN 2011

Ok, I was 7-5-1 last week and John was 6-6-1. I am now 35-49-5. John is 40-44-5 for the season. Here are this weeks picks.

1.) Detroit Lions (5-1) at home (-4) vs. Atlanta Falcons (3-3)
The Falcons are inconsistent but very competitive. The Lions have been dealt their first blow last week against the 49ers. No sense rolling the dice here.
PREDICTION: LIONS

2.) Chicago Bears (3-3) (-2) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers in LONDON (4-2)
The Bucs have been here before and their just better, younger and faster than the Bears.
PREDICTION: BUCS

3.) Carolina Panthers (1-5) at home (-2.5) vs. Washington Redskins (3-2)
The Panthers favored? I'm not sure about that. The Panthers did not cover last week in Atlanta and Rex Grossman was exposed against the Eagles. John Beck gets the start.
PREDICTION: PANTHERS

4.) New York Jets (3-3) at home (-1) vs. San Diego Chargers (4-1)
The Chargers are coming east and Rex Ryan inserted his foot in his mouth again this week. The Chargers are also coming off a bye week. I'll be diplomatic and charitable.
PREDICTION: JETS

5.) Cleveland Browns (2-3) at home (-3) vs. Seattle Seahawks (2-3)
Seattle showed they could travel well two weeks ago in the Meadowlands ad the Browns will be without Peyton Hillis. They don't have the weapons for Colt McCoy anyway. Charlie Whitehurst gets the call at QB for the Seahawks but look for Marshawn Lynch to maul the Browns like he did the Giants.
PREDICTION: SEAHAWKS

6.) Tennessee Titans (3-2) at home (-3) vs. Houston Texans (3-3)
This is an important game for both. The Texans are without Andre Johnson and the Titans are off a bye week.
PREDICTION: TITANS

7.) Miami Dolphins (0-5) at home (EVEN) vs. Denver Broncos (1-4)
Well, I for one am glad Tim Tebow is getting his shot. I'm hopeful all the hating will end too. Of course I don't understand it either. So, are the Dolphins better at home with Matt Moore than the travelling Broncos with Tim Tebow?
PREDICTION: BRONCOS

8.) Oakland Raiders (4-2) at home (-4) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (2-3)
Kyle Boller gets the start for the Raiders this week before their bye and the beginning of the Carson Palmer era. The Chiefs are off their bye and this rivalry screams that four points are too many.
PREDICTION: CHIEFS TO COVER

9.) Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) (-4) at Arizona Cardinals (1-4)
The Steelers failed to cover last week at home against the JAGS and the Cardinals are coming off their bye, but they've screwed me all year.
PREDICTION: STEELERS

10.) Dallas Cowboys (2-3) at home (-14) vs. St Louis Rams (0-5)
Sam Bradford is out tomorrow.
PREDICTION: COWBOYS

11.) Green Bay Packers (6-0) (-10) at Minnesota Vikings (1-4)
First start for rookie QB Christian Ponder? Good luck.
PREDICTION: PACKERS

12.) New Orleans Saints (4-2) at home (-14) vs. Indianapolis Colts (0-6)
The Colts are doing the best with what they've got.
PREDICTION: SAINTS

13.) Baltimore Ravens (4-1) (-9) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5)
The Jags, like the Colts are doing their best.
PREDICTION: RAVENS
