NFL PICKS WEEK SIX 2011

Ok , I was 5-8 last week. John was 7-6. I am 28-44-4 for the season. John is 34-38-4 for the season. Here are this weeks picks.

1.) Green Bay Packers (5-0) at home (-14) vs. St. Louis Rams (0-4)
Rams are off a bye week, but clearly have no shot
PREDICTION: PACKERS

2.) Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) at home (-12.5) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4)
The Steelers have not been overly impressive, but the Jags on the road?
PREDICTION: STEELERS

3.) Philadelphia Eagles (1-4) (-3) at Washington Redskins (3-1)
The Redskins are off a bye and dying to prove they're for real. This line started at one and a half and has gone to three. The Eagles have beaten themselves which is uncharacteristic of Andy Reid teams. This is quite definitely a must win for the Eagles.
PREDICTION: EAGLES

4.) Detroit Lions (5-0) at home (-4) vs. San Francisco 49ers (4-1)
Jim Harbaugh has the 49ers playing fundamentally sound ball and they don't make mistakes. Don't overlook them. That said, you can't pick against the Lions right now.
PREDICTION: LIONS

5.) Atlanta Falcons (2-3) at home (-3.5) vs. Carolina Panthers (1-4)
The Falcons aren't winning the close games this year and the Panthers have covered all season.
PREDICTION: PANTHERS TO WIN OUTRIGHT

6.) Cincinnati Bengals (3-2 at home (-6.5) vs. Indianapolis Colts (0-5)
I hate the points, but the Colts have burned me.
PREDICTION: BENGALS

7.) New York Giants (3-2) at home (-3) vs. Buffalo Bills (4-1)
The Giants are coming off a disastrous home loss to Seattle last week. Buffalo's defense sucks, but their offense is balanced. The Giants don't have the DB's to play with the Bills wideouts.
PREDICTION: BILLS TO WIN

8.) Baltimore Ravens (3-1) at home (-7) vs. Houston Texans (3-2)
No Andre Johnson and now Mario Williams is lost for the season, but the Ravens off a bye week is too hard to resist
PREDICTION: RAVENS

9.) Oakland Raiders (3-2) at home (-7) vs. Cleveland Browns (2-2)
Head Coach Pat Shurmur is a disciple of the west coast offense which explains why Peyton Hillis doesn't get the ball. I mean whoever heard of a running game in that pathetic ass offense? Instead of playing to their strengths their running a system that the talent doesn't match. Contrast that with the Oakland Raiders. They can run the ball, so instead of passing they actually run the ball and play to their strengths.
PREDICTION: RAIDERS

10.) New England Patriots (4-1) at home (-6) vs. Dallas Cowboys (2-2)
The Cowboys are coming off a bye week but it won't matter
PREDICTION: PATRIOTS

11.) New Orleans Saints (4-1) (-6) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2)
I hope you enjoy this because it's blacked out in Tampa.
PREDICTION: BUCS TO COVER

12.) Chicago Bears (2-3) at home (-3) vs. Minnesota Vikings (1-4)
Who cares at this point?
PREDICTION: BEARS

13.) New York Jets (2-3) (-7) at Miami Dolphins (0-4)
Seven points in this rivalry? Ugh! Dolphins aren't worth the risk
PREDICTION: JETS
