NFL PICKS WEEK NINE 2011

I was 7-6 last week and John was 6-7, (Thank you Philip Rivers). I am 49-61-5 and John is 53-57-5 for the season.

Here are this weeks' picks.

1.) Atlanta Falcons (4-3) (-7) at Indianapolis Colts (0-8)
The Falcons are off a bye week and are too much for the Colts.
PREDICTION: FALCONS

2.) New Orleans Saints (5-3) at home (-8.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-3)
This is the pick of the week! The Bucs always play and match up well against the Saints. They are off a bye and the Saints still cannot stop the run.
PREDICTION: BUCCANEERS

3.) Houston Texans (5-3) at home (-10.5) vs. Cleveland Browns (3-4)
The Browns are hurting and the Texans while inconsistent should still be able to exploit Cleveland's defense which surprisingly is one of the best in the NFL to date.
PREDICTION: TEXANS

4.) Buffalo Bills (5-2) at home (-2.5) vs. New York Jets (4-3)
Which Jets team will show? With the Bills defense I'm betting a potent offense shows up.
PREDICTION: JETS

5.) Kansas City Chiefs (4-3) at home (-4) vs. Miami Dolphins (0-7)
Some people think the Chiefs should be on upset alert this week, especially after a dramatic win on Monday Night. I normally abide the Monday Night Rule, but I'll pass on taking the Dolphins.
PREDICTION: CHIEFS

6.) San Francisco 49ers (6-1) (-4) at Washington Redskins (3-4)
Normally, I would pick against a team travelling across country, but the Redskins stink and Frank Gore will run all over them.
PREDICTION: 49ers

7.) Dallas Cowboys (3-4) at home (-11) vs. Seattle Seahawks (2-5)
I hate the Cowboys with this many points, but can Seattle put together one of their occasional butt whoopings or at least keep it close?
PREDICTION: COWBOYS (grudgingly)

8.) Oakland Raiders (4-3) at home (-7) vs. Denver Broncos (2-5)
Put Tebow aside, the Broncos have no talent whether you think he can play QB or not. The Raiders are off a bye and Carson Palmer gets his first start. I don't like seven points in this rivalry but the Raiders will trounce them.
PREDICTION: RAIDERS

9.) Tennessee Titans (4-3) at home (-3) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (5-2)
With Chris Johnson's pathetic performance it is a miracle the Titans are 4-3. It won't get better against the Bungles defense.
PREDICTION: BENGALS

10.) Arizona Cardinals (1-6) at home (-3) vs. St Louis Rams (1-6)
You'd have to be crazy to pick the Cardinals
PREDICTION: RAMS

11.) New England Patriots (5-2) at home (-9) vs. New York Giants (5-2)
The Pats have been exposed on defense. They must outscore you.
PREDICTION: GIANTS TO COVER

12.) Green Bay Packers (7-0) (-6) at San Diego Chargers (4-3)
A couple weeks ago Id've said this was a trap game for the Packers. I was wrong and they are coming off a bye.
PREDICTION: PACKERS

13.) Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) at home (-3.5) vs. Baltimore Ravens (5-2)
A week one rematch. The Steelers are on a roll and the Ravens seem perplexed.
PREDICTION: STEELERS

14.) Philadelphia Eagles (3-4) at home (-7.5) vs. Chicago Bears (4-3)
If the Eagles play as well as they did last week, then it's a no brainer.
PREDICTION: EAGLES
