NFL PICKS WEEK SEVENTEEN, 2011

I was 8-7-1 last week. John was 7-8-1. We are 105-126-8 & 108-123-8 for the season respectively going into the final week. Here are this weeks picks.

1.) Philadelphia Eagles (7-8) at home (-8) vs. Washington Redskins (5-10)
Rivalry or not, the Redskins lost at home last week to the Vikings. The Eagles have too much to prove even with eight points.
PREDICTION: EAGLES

2.) San Francisco 49ers (12-3) (-10.5) at St Louis Rams (2-13)
The 49ers are still vying for a bye and Rams aren't even dialing it in at this point.
PREDICTION: 49ers

3.) Minnesota Vikings (3-12) at home (-1.5) vs. Chicago Bears (7-8)
Is anyone of value healthy for this game? This would be easy if AP wasn't done for the season. The Bears defense is the difference.
PREDICTION: BEARS

4.) Detroit Lions (10-5) (-4) at Green Bay Packers (14-1)
If Rodgers starts it won't be for long, but Matt Flynn can also air it out. The Lions are playing for who they face in the first round of the playoffs. The points are too many.
PREDICTION: PACKERS

5.) New Orleans Saints (12-3) at home (-7.5) vs. Carolina Panthers (6-9)
The Saints are also vying for a bye and the Panthers can't stop them.
PREDICTION: SAINTS

6.) Tennessee Titans (8-7) (-1.5) at Houston Texans (10-5)
The Texans are not ending on a high note. The Titans need a lot and may be distracted by Mike Munchak's prospects to succeed Paterno at his Alma mater.
PREDICTION: TITANS

7.) Jacksonville Jaguars (4-11) at home (-3.5) vs. Indianapolis Colts (2-13)
The Jags should run all over the Colts with MJD, but the Colts can throw it on a bad pass defense.
PREDICTION: COLTS

8.) Miami Dolphins (5-10) at home (-3) vs. New York Jets (8-7)
Jets fans are begging the Dolphins or anyone else for that matter to hire away Brian Schottenheimer as their head coach. Maybe the Jets could send Mark Sanchez with them. What a terrible offensive combination they make, huh? Three points is a lot in this series and Reggie Bush is out. NO way I'm taking the FUCKING JETS this week.
PREDICTION: DOLPHINS

9.) New England Patriots (12-3) at home (-10.5) vs. Buffalo Bills (6-9)
DUH?
PREDICTION: PATRIOTS

10.) Atlanta Falcons (9-6) at home (-10.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-11)
If the Bucs love their head coach Raheem Morris, you'd never know by their play on the field. He's toast after the Falcons obliterate them.
PREDICTION: FALCONS

11.) Baltimore Ravens (12-3) (-2) at Cincinnati Bengals (9-6)
The Ravens need this game to get a bye and a home game. Rivalry or not the stakes and three straight road playoff games are enough motivation to stave off the Bengals.
PREDICTION: RAVENS

12.) Pittsburgh Steelers (12-3) (-6.5) at Cleveland Browns (4-11)
Will Roethlisberger play? Big rivals too. Don't matter.
PREDICTION: STEELERS

13.) Oakland Raiders (8-7) at home (-3) vs. San Diego Chargers (7-8)
The Chargers would love to spoil the Raiders chances at winning the division and the Raiders are inconsistent enough to screw it up.
PREDICTION: CHARGERS

14.) Denver Broncos (8-7) at home (-3) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (6-9)
Could this season have had a more fascinating ending than this? Tim Tebow vs. Kyle Orton? Do you think Orton's not revved and dying to stick it to Broncos fans? Big rivalry, Crenell can coach defense.
PREDICTION: CHIEFS

15.) Arizona Cardinals (7-8) at home (-3) vs. Seattle Seahawks (7-8)
Both of these teams shit the bed last week, coming up short in a late run towards a wild card spot.
PREDICTION: SEAHAWKS

16.) New York Giants (8-7) at home (-3) vs. Dallas Cowboys (8-7)
The Giants have the Cowboys number.
PREDICTION: GIANTS
