NFL PICKS, WEEK SIXTEEN, 2011

I was 4-10-2 last week. John was 3-11-2. We are 97-119-7 & 101-115-7 respectively for the season. Here are this weeks' picks.

1.) Houston Texans (10-4) (-7) at Indianapolis Colts (1-13)
Is beating Tennessee going to motivate the Colts? The Colts have been covering of late.
PREDICTION: COLTS

2.) Kansas City Chiefs (6-8) at home (-2.5) vs. Oakland Raiders (7-7)
The Raiders blew it last week against the Lions and it will likely keep them out of the playoffs. I don't like the spread here, but I'm not sure the Raiders at present fully appreciate this rivalry.
PREDICTION: CHIEFS

3.) Denver Broncos (8-6) (-3) at Buffalo Bills (5-9)
This game is blacked out in Buffalo. Even Tim Tebow can't get Buffalo to watch the Bills.
PREDICTION: BRONCOS

4.) Tennessee Titans (7-7) at home (-7) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-10)
So, I can take the Titans who lost to the Colts or the Jags who quit in the Falcons game?
PREDICTION: TITANS

5.) Cincinnati Bengals (8-6) at home (-4) vs. Arizona Cardinals (7-7)
Hmmmmmmmmm. The Bengals must win and John Skelton is uninspiring. Too many points.
PREDICTION: CARDINALS TO COVER

6.) New England Patriots (11-3) at home (-10) vs. Miami Dolphins (5-9)
The Patriots defense is soft and guess what? Reggie Bush is a beast after all. Too many points.
PREDICTION: DOLPHINS

7.) Baltimore Ravens (10-4) at home (-12.5) vs. Cleveland Browns (4-10)
The Ravens were by spared disgrace and road playoff games by the 49ers on Monday night.
PREDICTION: RAVENS

8.) New York Jets (8-6) at home (-3) vs. New York Giants (7-7)
Well, now the Jets and Giants both sucked mightily last week. The Giants do play to their competition and the Jets usually win these games when needed.
PREDICTION: JETS

9.) Washington Redskins (5-9) at home (-6.5) vs. Minnesota Vikings (2-12)
I don't like the points but what choice do we have?
PREDICTION: REDSKINS

10.) Carolina Panthers (5-9) at home (-7.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-10)
The Bucs are in freefall.
PREDICTION: PANTHERS

11.) Detroit Lions (9-5) at home (-2.5) vs. San Diego Chargers (7-7)
If this was on the west coast I'd cut the Chargers some slack, but the Lions are back to rolling.
PREDICTION: LIONS

12.) San Francisco 49ers (11-3) (2) at Seattle Seahawks (7-7)
Tough game. Big Monday night win for the Niners.
PREDICTION: SEAHAWKS

13.) Dallas Cowboys (8-6) at home (-1.5) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (6-8)
This game will hinge on the outcome of Jets-Giants. If the Jets win the Eagles still have a shot at winning the division.
PREDICTION: EAGLES

14.) Pittsburgh Steelers (10-4) at home (-17) vs. St. Louis Rams.
I don't like the spread especially with a hobbling Roethlisberger, but Kellen Clemens versus the Steelers defense?
PREDICTION: STEELERS

15.) Green Bay Packers (13-1) at home (-13) vs. Chicago Bears (7-7)
The Packers were mauled by the Chiefs, this is a rivalry game with Josh McCown making his first start against the Packers. Of course, rivalry or not the Packers might be itching to make a point.
PREDICTION: PACKERS

16.) New Orleans Saints (11-3) at home (-7) vs. Atlanta Falcons (9-5)
Mike Smith had his chance in Atlanta and blew it. Fate won't be kind in New Orleans
PREDICTION: SAINTS
