Eagles Pro-Bowl left tackle Jason Peters has suffered an injury, according to Geoff Mosher of the Wilmington News Journal, although the extent is unclear.
Peters injured his Achilles recently during a workout and may need surgery, one source said. Another source said he heard that Peters sustained an injury but wasn’t certain about the severity.
The Eagles re-signed reserve offensive tackle King Dunlap today and Peters' injury may have precipitated it.
Update: The Eagles announced left tackle Jason Peters ruptured his Achilles tendon in his right leg on Tuesday, March 27, while training in Texas. Surgery to repair the tendon is scheduled for April 2 in Philadelphia and will be performed by Dr. Steve Raikin of the Rothman Institute.
