I was 6-8-1 last week, bringing me to 23-36-4 for the season. John was 8-6-1 and is 24-35-4 for the season.
I had the RAMS on Thursday & John had the Cardinals.
Here are this weeks picks.
1.) Atlanta Falcons (4-0) (-3) at Washington Redskins (2-2)
The Redskins do not have enough firepower in this match up. The Falcons are loaded for bear and the Redskins D gets lit up.
2.) Pittsburgh Steelers (1-2) at home (-3.5) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (3-1)
The Steelers are fortunate those old legs on defense are coming off a bye but they are still hurting. Barring turnovers, the Eagles have far too much speed.
Prediction: EAGLES TO WIN
3.) Green Bay Packers (2-2) (-7) at Indianapolis Colts (1-2)
I thought the Packers would dust the Saints last week, but they struggled for a win. The Colts aren't ready to play in their league, even after a bye. Even so, The Packers better find a running game if they want to contend.
4.) New York Giants (2-2) at home (-8) vs. Cleveland (0-4)
The Browns record is 0-4 but they are 4-0 against the spread. The Giants can be run on. Eli will light up Cleveland's defense.
Prediction: BROWNS TO COVER
5.) Cincinnati Bengals (3-1) at home (-3) vs. Miami Dolphins (1-3)
You can expect the Dolphins to run a lot on a bad Bengals run defense, but the Bengals have too much firepower.
6.) Baltimore Ravens (3-1) (-6.5) at Kansas City Chiefs (1-3)
I keep giving the Chiefs the benefit of the doubt. Not this week.
7.) Carolina Panthers (2-2) at home (-1) vs. Seattle Seahawks (2-2)
Pete Carroll will try to run the ball and succeed, but I don't trust them on the road.
8.) Chicago Bears (3-1) (-6) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3)
I wouldn't put it past Jay Cutler to find a way to lose this game, but I wouldn't bet on it.
9.) Minnesota Vikings (3-1) at home (-6) vs. Tennessee Titans (1-3)
Fortunes change dramatically for the better when you have a healthy Adrian Peterson. The same cannot be said of Chris Johnson who is healthy but unenthused. Christian Ponder has not thrown an INT all season.
10.) New England Patriots (2-2) at home (-6.5) vs. Denver Broncos (2-2)
No way. Peyton Manning must be frothing at the mouth for this shot.
Prediction: BRONCOS TO COVER
11.) San Francisco 49ers (3-1) at home (-10) vs. Buffalo Bills (2-2)
The Bills have no shot.
12.) New Orleans Saints (0-4) at home (-3.5) vs. San Diego Chargers (3-1)
The Saints are 0-4, the division leading Falcons are 4-0. If they want a shot at a wild card they have to get on a run and that run must start here. My gut says no.
Prediction: CHARGERS TO COVER
13.) Houston Texans (4-0) (-9) at New York Jets (2-2)
Only 9? Why not 90? No Darrelle Revis, or Santonio Holmes. Dustin Keller and Stephen Hill are not expected to play either. So, unless Tim Tebow produces a staff, taps on a stone and the Texans are suddenly overcome by a wave, I wouldn't count on the JETS to do anything but SUCK royally. Right now the jets look like that awkward Jeopardy player who doesn't understand why he's at -$10,000
Prediction: NOT THE JETS
