I was 8-5 last week including Thursday Nights Game making me 84-87-4 for the season. John was 8-5 also bringing him to 81-90-4 for the season.
Here are this weeks' picks:
1.) Chicago Bears (8-3) at home (-3.5) vs. Seattle Seahawks (6-5)
The Seahawks? On the Road?
2.) Green Bay Packers (7-4) at home (-7.5) vs. Minnesota Vikings (6-5)
The Packers have too many holes on defense even at home. Adrian Peterson ought to keep this within the points.
Prediction: VIKINGS TO COVER
3.) San Francisco 49ers (8-2-1) (-8) at St. Louis Rams (4-6-1)
Well, the last time these two teams met was in San Francisco and it ended in a tie.
PREDICTION: RAMS TO COVER
4.) New York Jets (4-7) at home (-6) vs. Arizona Cardinals (4-7)
The Cardinals have lost seven in a row and have no QB. The Jets? It seems suicidal at six points.
5.) Carolina Panthers (3-8) (-4) at Kansas City Chiefs (1-10)
The Chiefs are reeling from the murder suicide of one of their own today and I can't see it as a source of inspiration.
6.) Detroit Lions (4-7) at home (-6) vs. Indianapolis Colts (7-4)
The Lions are an even-odd team and by that I mean they have enough talent to make the playoffs with a 4th place schedule in the odd years. Shades of Wayne Fontes and the 90's except their superstar is Megatron instead of Sanders. Six Points are too many.
Prediction: Colts To Cover
7.) Buffalo Bills (4-7) at home (-6) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-9)
The Jags are a bad football team but they have been a bit snakebit and Buffalo does not blow out anyone even when do win.
Prediction: Jaguars To Cover
8.) New England Patriots (8-3) (-9) at Miami Dolphins (5-6)
This rivalry leaves me tempted, but not enough.
9.) Houston Texans (10-1) (-7) at Tennessee Titans (4-7)
The Titans are screwed.
10.) Denver Broncos (8-3) at home (-7.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-5)
Everyone, it sems is on the Bucs bandwagon and at least I'll be able to watch this on TV at the bar. Peyton Manning is set to light up a depleted Bucs secondary.
11.,) Baltimore Ravens (9-2) at home (-7.5) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5)
Charlie Batch anyone?
12.) Cleveland Browns (3-8) (-3) at Oakland Raiders (3-8)
The Browns a road favorite?
Prediction: Raiders to Cover
13.) Cincinnati Bengals (6-5) (1.5) at San Diego Chargers (4-7)
The Bengals are poised for a Wild Card Run and the Chargers are headed for oblivion and Norv Turner to the unemployment line.
14.) Dallas Cowboys (5-6) at home (3-8) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (3-8)
There was a time when records did not matter in this rivalry, but this Eagles squad is ignorant of Eagles lore and the pride that comes with stepping up against the Vaunted Cowboys, however piddling their performance of late. I said after the loss to the Falcons that the Eagles would lose out and finish 3-13 and they have not disappointed.
Prediction: Cowboys ROMP
15.) New York Giants (7-4) (-3) at Washington Redskins (5-6)
The Giants have character aplenty and the Redskins don't have enough talent.
