Cardinals cut veteran safety Adrian Wilson

The Arizona Cardinals have informed strong safety Adrian Wilson that he'll be released today, Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 radio in Phoenix, Arizona. 

The five-time Pro Bowler has spent the last 12 seasons with the Cardinals.  He was the team's third round pick in the 2001 NFL Draft.

Wilson was due $2.5 million this season along with a $1 million roster bonus as part of the four-year, $16.5 million contract he signed last July.
