Last week was a disaster. I was 4-11-1 with my picks. John was 5-10-1. It is increasingly difficult to pick games, but here goes this weeks effort. We both had the JETS -12 on Thursday.
1.) Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) at home (-7) vs. San Diego Chargers (0-1)
A tale of two Monday night outcomes. Both teams built up dramatic leads. The Eagles defense closed out for a win and the Chargers defense choked. And now they fly across country against an offense that is too fast.
2.) Baltimore Ravens (0-1) at home (-7) vs. Cleveland Browns (0-1)
Joe Flacco certainly misses Anquan Boldin, huh? The Browns look like they were overhyped. Again.
3.) Houston Texans (1-0) at home (-9) vs. Tennessee Titans (1-0)
The Titans delivered the most stunning upset of Week One in Pittsburgh, but Matt Schaub is lights out against the Titans.
4.) Indianapolis Colts (1-0) at home (-3) vs. Miami Dolphins (1-0)
Neither of these two teams has a running game, but at least Colts have Donald Brown. The Colts are at home and Andrew Luck is the difference.
5.) Carolina Panthers (0-1) (-3) at Buffalo Bills (0-1)
Cam Newton does not win ugly in close games at home much less on the road.
6.) Atlanta Falcons (0-1) at home (-5.5) vs. St. Louis Rams (1-0)
Too many points.
PREDICTION: RAMS TO COVER
7.) Green Bay Packers (0-1) at home (-7.5) vs, Washington Redskins (0-1)
The Packers threw the kitchen sink at the Niners last week and still lost. A lot of effort left on the field. The Redskins look hungrier and the Packers have trouble closing. Too many points.
8.) Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) at home (-3) vs. Dallas Cowboys (1-0)
Tony Romo and Dez Bryant are not 100 percent. As difficult as Arrowhead is this line isn't acceptable yet.
9.) Chicago Bears (1-0) at home (-6.5) vs. Minnesota Vikings (0-1)
Too many points for these rivals.
PREDICTION: VIKINGS TO COVER
10.) New Orleans Saints (1-0) (-4) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1)
The Bucs are in disarray. Freeman sucks.
11.) Detroit Lions (1-0) (-2.5) at Arizona Lions (0-1)
A big game for both teams. Lions on the road? Call me cynical.
12.) Oakland Raiders (0-1) at home (-6) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1)
13.) Denver Broncos (1-0) (-4) at New York Giants (0-1)
The Broncos have too many weapons.
14.) Seattle Seahawks (1-0) at home (-2.5) vs. San Francisco 49ers (1-0)
Everyone is on the Seahawks, but me.
15.) Cincinnati Bengals (0-1) at home (-6.5) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1)
The Steelers are fucked.
